Kelly/Shorts Stadium seats 35,127 Chippewas fans in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Opened in 1972, it has been home to MAC champions and NFL draft picks including Antonio Brown and J.J. Watt's teammate Eric Fisher.
Opened September 23, 1972 with 14-9 win over Illinois State. Named for Kenneth "Bill" Kelly and alumnus Frank Shorts. Built for $2.8M to replace Perry Shorts Stadium.
West side stands (sections 5-7) offer the best viewing angles. The west upper deck provides a panoramic view of the campus.
Lot 62 is the primary GA lot; follow signs for gameday parking along Broomfield Rd. Parking is typically $15. Arrive 3+ hours early for best spots.
Experience the "Fire Up Chips!" chant and the CMU Marching Band. Mount Pleasant is a smaller college town, making the stadium the centerpiece of Saturday activity. Dress for the Michigan cold!
