San Francisco 49ers
Levi's Stadium is the home of the San Francisco 49ers, located in Santa Clara, California. Opened in 2014 with a capacity of 68,500, it was designed by HNTB and built at a cost of $1.3 billion. The open-air stadium plays on natural grass (hybrid Bermuda) and was the first new-construction professional football stadium in the United States to achieve LEED Gold certification. Naming rights were purchased by Levi Strauss & Co. in 2013. The stadium has hosted Super Bowl 50 (2016) and Super Bowl LX (2026).
Built to replace Candlestick Park and bring the 49ers to Santa Clara. It was designed as the first LEED Gold certified pro football stadium.
The lower bowl on the east side offers the most classic view. Stay on the west side for more shade in the afternoon.
VTA Light Rail is the easiest way to arrive; it stops directly at the stadium. Pre-book parking early for tailgating in Blue Lot 1.
Visit the 49ers Museum for a look at the team's five Super Bowl trophies. Look for "Sourdough Sam" in the "Faithful Mile" fan zone.
