Buffalo Bills
Orchard Park, NY
Highmark Stadium has been the home of the Buffalo Bills since 1973, known for its intense wind conditions and one of the most passionate fan bases in the NFL. Located in Orchard Park, it is famous for the "Bills Mafia" tailgating culture and will soon be replaced by a new state-of-the-art facility across the street.
Built to replace War Memorial Stadium, which was too small and aging for the AFL-NFL merger requirements. It was one of the first stadiums to sell naming rights (Rich Stadium) and features a unique design where the field is 50 feet below ground level.
The 200-level club seats offer some protection from the elements. For the loudest experience, the lower bowl end zones (home to the rowdiest fans) are unmatched.
Tailgating is the main event here. Lots open 4 hours before kickoff; arrive early to secure a spot. Most private lots in the neighborhood are reliable but requires cash/prep-pay.
The "Bills Mafia" tailgates are legendary (and sometimes involve folding tables). Don't miss the "Pinto Ron" ketchup ceremony or the "Shout" song after every Bills touchdown.
