📖About Pitbull Stadium

Pitbull Stadium is the on-campus home of the FIU Panthers football program in unincorporated Miami-Dade County. Opened September 24, 1995, the facility seats 20,000 and plays on FieldTurf. It has carried five names since opening, most recently rebranded in August 2024 when Miami-born rapper Pitbull purchased naming rights for $1.2 million annually under a 5-year deal — reported as the first athletics venue with an artist holding naming rights. The stadium hosted the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2009 and 2011.
