Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium, "The Doak," is the second-largest ACC stadium at 67,277 (post-2024 renovation). Named for FSU's first president, with the field honoring legendary coach Bobby Bowden (156-26-2 home record, two national titles). Home to three Heisman winners: Charlie Ward, Chris Weinke, and Jameis Winston.
Built for $250,000 with 15,000 seats, opened October 7, 1950 against Randolph Macon. Named for Doak S. Campbell, FSU's first president. Field named for Bobby Bowden in 2004 after 33 years as head coach.
Sections between the 30-yard lines offer best views. Section 8 near students has the most energy. Visitor sections are 117-118, plus sections 13-16 upper rows. Most seats are bleacher-style—no chairbacks. Premium Champions Club has early entry.
Lots open 5 hrs before kickoff. Booster lots 1-8, 11, 13-14, 18, 25 require permits. General public uses Spirit Way Garage (closest), Traditions Way Garage, or Garage 19. Approach from east via Pensacola or Gaines St. Use east exits post-game—wait 20 min to save 40 min in traffic.
Ford Fan Fest at Langford Green is free with live music and food vendors. Arrive 10 min early to see Chief Osceola plant the flaming spear at midfield atop Renegade! No re-entry allowed. Gates L/M (near students) move fastest. Post-game, hit Palace Saloon across from the stadium or College Town.
