Georgetown Hoyas
Cooper Field is a 3,750-seat multi-purpose stadium in Washington, D.C., on the campus of Georgetown University. Named in 2015 for a $50 million gift from Georgetown football parents Peter and Susan Cooper, it provides an intimate setting for Hoyas football in the nation's capital.
The field evolved from an intramural facility. In 2002, with dwindling attendance and increasing safety concerns at off-campus Kehoe Field, Georgetown decided to construct a stadium at the site of the Harbin Field soccer facility, bringing football back to campus.
With a capacity of 3,750, every seat offers a close view of the action. The intimate setting creates a unique atmosphere for Division I football. Sideline seating puts fans right on top of the game.
Parking in Georgetown is extremely limited. Use public transportation - the Georgetown Metro (Blue/Orange/Silver lines) requires a bus connection. Consider rideshare services. Some on-campus parking available with permits. Street parking is scarce.
Experience Georgetown football in the heart of Washington, D.C. The campus's historic architecture and location make for a memorable visit. Walk around Georgetown's charming streets before or after the game. The Potomac waterfront is nearby for scenic views.
