Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium is the Wildcats' temporary home (2024-2025) while the new Ryan Field is under construction. Located on Northwestern's Evanston campus, the 12,000-seat venue was originally built for lacrosse but has been expanded for football. Some games are also played at Wrigley Field in Chicago.
Martin Stadium opened in 2023 as a permanent lacrosse and soccer venue. When the old Ryan Field (opened 1926) was demolished in December 2023 to make way for the new $800M Ryan Field, Martin Stadium became the temporary football home with modular seating expansions.
The temporary venue has limited seatingโall seats are relatively close to the action. West side bleachers have afternoon shade. Premium hospitality tents available for donors.
Limited parking on campus. Use CTA Purple Line to Central or Foster stations. Street parking in Evanston neighborhoods. For Wrigley Field games, take CTA Red Line to Addison.
The intimate setting creates a unique atmosphere. Wildcats Walk still brings players through fans before kickoff. Northwestern's fight song "Go U Northwestern" plays after scores. Enjoy Evanston's downtown restaurants on Sherman Avenue after games.
