Portland State Vikings
Hillsboro Stadium is unique among FCS venues as an off-campus facility located 18 miles west of Portland State's urban campus. Opened in 1999 and home to the Vikings since 2023, the 7,600-seat stadium offers an intimate setting in the suburban Hillsboro community near Oregon's wine country.
Built in 1999 primarily for soccer, the stadium became Portland State's football home in 2023 when the university sought a dedicated facility after sharing Providence Park with the Portland Timbers. The move provided a controlled game-day environment better suited for college football.
Main grandstand on west side offers covered seating and best views. Sections near midfield are premium. East side grass berm seating provides budget-friendly option for families.
Suburban location offers ample parking in adjacent lots. Arrive 90 minutes early for relaxed tailgating. Free parking available. Stadium is 18 miles from downtown Portland - allow 30-40 minutes drive time.
Hillsboro offers suburban convenience with Portland's food scene 20 minutes away. Pre-game, explore nearby Orenco Station for dining. Post-game, venture into Portland's Pearl District or visit nearby wineries in Willamette Valley. MAX Light Rail connects Hillsboro to downtown Portland.
