Seattle Mariners
T-Mobile Park, home of the Seattle Mariners since 1999, seats 47,929 on a Kentucky bluegrass surface. Originally named Safeco Field, it was renamed T-Mobile Park in 2019 after a 25-year, $87.5 million naming-rights deal. Designed by NBBJ, the ballpark features a retractable roof covering roughly 9 acres that opens and closes in 10–20 minutes. It hosted MLB All-Star Games in 2001 and 2023, and the 2024 NHL Winter Classic.
Built to save baseball in Seattle and replace the aging, multi-purpose Kingdome with a dedicated, fan-friendly ballpark.
The "Pen" in left field is the most popular social spot for younger fans. Terrace Club seats provide an excellent view and climate-controlled concourse access.
Take the Link Light Rail to either the Stadium or International District stops. If driving, the Safeco Field Garage is the most convenient but highest cost.
Try the toasted grasshoppers (chapulines), a Seattle cult classic. Visit the statues of Ken Griffey Jr. and Edgar Martinez and watch the roof roll over the tracks.
