Powers Field at Princeton Stadium opened in 1998 as a modern replacement for the 83-year-old Palmer Stadium. With a capacity of 27,773, it represents Princeton's commitment to first-class facilities while maintaining the intimate atmosphere of Ivy League football.

Origins

Built on the site of Palmer Stadium, the new stadium was constructed to replace the aging "dinosaur" and provide Princeton football with modern facilities worthy of the program's storied history. The Tigers played all 1997 games on the road during construction.
