Buddy Teevens Stadium at Memorial Field, opened in 1923, serves as the home of Dartmouth football with a capacity of 11,000. Built as a memorial to the 112 Dartmouth men who perished in World War I, the stadium honors their sacrifice while providing an intimate setting for Ivy League football in the heart of Hanover.
Constructed in 1923 to replace Alumni Oval (whose wooden grandstand burned in 1911), Memorial Field was built to honor the 112 Dartmouth students and alumni who died in World War I, providing a lasting tribute while serving the College's athletic needs.
The brick-faced concrete west stand offers the best views and most protection from elements. East side permanent stands provide good sightlines. The intimate capacity means no bad seats in the house.
Limited parking near stadium. Arrive 2 hours early for big games. Consider parking near downtown Hanover (10-minute walk) or using the parking lots off Route 10. Fall foliage weekends bring extra traffic.
