Albany Great Danes
Bob Ford Field at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium opened in 2013 as a state-of-the-art home for Albany football. With a capacity of 8,500, including 629 chair-backs and a natural grass berm, the stadium features a massive HD video display and serves as home to multiple Great Danes programs.
The stadium was built to provide Albany with its own on-campus football facility as the program made its debut in Colonial Athletic Association football. Construction began in April 2012 and was completed in September 2013.
The 629 chair-back seats offer the most comfort, while the natural grass berm beyond the north end zone is popular with families and kids. Bleacher seating provides traditional gameday atmosphere.
Box offices open four hours prior to kickoff. Arrive early for popular games as Albany averages around 6,000 fans per home contest. Campus lots fill quickly on gamedays.
The large grassy berm is packed with kids throughout the game, with T-shirts tossed into the berm after every Albany score. The 39' by 22' HD video display behind the south end zone provides replays and stats.
