Crown Field at Andy Kerr Stadium opened in 1939 as "Colgate Athletic Field" and was renamed in 1966 to honor legendary coach Andy Kerr, who led the team from 1929 to 1946. The field was renamed again in 2014 for the Crown Family in recognition of their support for lights and FieldTurf installation, creating one of the Patriot League's premier venues.
The stadium was constructed in 1939 to provide Colgate with a dedicated home for its storied football program, which dates back to the 1800s. The facility replaced earlier playing fields and marked a significant investment in Colgate athletics.
The stadium seats 10,221 in a combination of seating options. Sideline seats offer the best views of the action. The facility provides an intimate atmosphere perfect for experiencing Patriot League football.
The Maroon Council lot behind the stands is ideal for tailgating. Arrive 2-3 hours before kickoff to secure parking and enjoy the pre-game atmosphere. Hamilton is a small college town with additional parking available near campus.
