Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium is one of college football's loudest environments, with 51,000 fans creating an electric atmosphere in Greenville, NC. The Pirates have called this venue home since 1963.
Built in 1963 for $300,000 to replace College Stadium. Named for James Skinner Ficklen, local tobacco company owner. Ron and Mary Ellen Dowdy's $1M gift in 1994 added their name.
North side upper deck has great sightlines. TowneBank Tower on south side offers premium experience.
Dowdy-Ficklen lots surround stadium. Downtown Greenville within walking distance. Arrive early for tailgating.
"Purple Haze" plays as team enters. Some games feature Seymour Johnson AFB flyovers. One of the loudest G5 venues in the country.
