Middle Tennessee
Johnny "Red" Floyd Stadium is the oldest venue in Conference USA, opening its doors in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on October 14, 1933. Home of the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, it was originally known as Horace Jones Field before being renamed in 1968 to honor legendary Blue Raiders coach Johnny "Red" Floyd. A $25 million renovation in 1998 modernized the facility for MTSU's FBS transition, and the stadium today seats approximately 27,300 fans on the Middle Tennessee State University campus.
Opened October 14, 1933 with scoreless tie vs Jacksonville State. Named for coach Johnny "Red" Floyd in 1968. Horace Jones Field honors former coach.
