Memorial Stadium in Stephenville, Texas, was built from 1948 to 1950 as a tribute to the 179 Tarleton faculty, staff, and students who died in World War II. Opening in 1951 with 6,000 seats, the stadium has undergone multiple expansions and now seats 24,000 following a $26 million renovation in 2019 and expansion in 2022. The facility honors those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving as home to Texan football.
