Anthony Field at Wildcat Stadium is a modern on-campus facility that opened in 2017, marking Abilene Christian's return to campus football after 57 years. With a capacity of 12,000, the stadium features a five-story press box, luxury suites, and state-of-the-art facilities. The stadium is named after ACU alumni Mark and April Anthony, whose generous lead gift helped fund the $38 million project.

Origins

The stadium was built as part of Abilene Christian University's return to on-campus football after playing at Shotwell Stadium from 1960 through 2016. The current Wildcat Stadium site previously housed Elmer Gray Stadium (built 1954) before the program shifted to Shotwell Stadium in 1959.
