Galaxy Stadium (still called "The Jones" by fans) holds 60,454 and is known for one of college football's wildest atmospheres. The "Guns Up" hand sign and "Raider Power" chant echo across the West Texas plains. Named for Clifford and Audrey Jones (early benefactors); renamed Galaxy Stadium in July 2026 under a new naming-rights deal with Galaxy Digital.

Origins

Opened November 30, 1947 as Clifford and Audrey Jones Stadium with a 14-6 loss to Hardin-Simmons. Built for $600,000. SBC/AT&T held naming rights from 2000 until the agreement expired in June 2026; the stadium was renamed Galaxy Stadium in July 2026 under a 15-year deal with Galaxy Digital.
