📖About Sun Bowl Stadium

Sun Bowl Stadium is the on-campus home of the UTEP Miners football program in El Paso, Texas. Opened on September 21, 1963, the stadium holds 51,500 and plays on a FieldTurf surface. It sits at approximately 3,910 feet elevation and hosts the annual Sun Bowl college football bowl game each December, a tradition that relocated to the stadium when it opened.
