Stewart Stadium, perched in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains in Ogden, Utah, offers one of the FCS's most dramatic settings. With a capacity of 13,441 following summer 2023 renovations, the stadium has served Weber State since 1964 and provides stunning views of the mountains that rise directly behind the west stands.
Constructed in 1964 to replace the aging Wildcat Bowl, Stewart Stadium was built to accommodate Weber State's growing athletic ambitions. Named after Weber County Commissioner Douglas C. Stewart, the stadium was strategically placed against the mountain backdrop to create an iconic setting.
East grandstand offers unobstructed mountain views behind the west stands - one of FCS football's best backdrops. Midfield sections (15-20) are premium. Afternoon sun can be intense on west side. Elevation at 4,400 feet may affect visitors.
Arrive 2+ hours early for tailgating. Main lots are off University Circle and Harrison Blvd. RV parking available with advance reservation. Street parking on residential streets near campus (observe restrictions). Ogden's location means easy access from I-15.
Ogden offers mountain town atmosphere with urban amenities. Pre-game tailgating centers around stadium lots. Visit campus landmarks like Wattis Business Building. Post-game, explore Historic 25th Street in downtown Ogden (3 miles) for dining, breweries, and nightlife. Proximity to ski resorts (15 miles) makes this a great fall football destination.
