Folsom Field holds 50,183 and offers some of college football's most dramatic mountain views, with the Flatirons as a backdrop. Named for coach Fred Folsom (79-27-7), it sits a mile above sea level in Boulder. The altitude gives Colorado a home-field advantage.

Opened October 11, 1924 as Colorado Stadium with a 38-0 win over Regis. Renamed Folsom Field in 1944. Built for $75,000 with 25,000 capacity.

Parking Tips

Limited campus parking. Free shuttles from outlying lots on Regent Drive. Pearl Street parking garages available. Game day traffic on US-36 is heavy.

Ralphie the buffalo runs onto field before kickoff—most iconic entrance in college football! Buff Walk brings team through fans. Student section has "Third Down for What" tradition. Post-game, hit Pearl Street Mall. Clear bag policy enforced.
