💡 One of the most visited man-made attractions in Colorado. Even if the interior is closed for renovations, the exterior is stunning.

A 34,000-square-foot museum that opened May 2026 just outside the Academy's North Gate, guiding civilians through the 47-month cadet journey via six interactive galleries, a grand atrium with a suspended glider, and the Polaris Star career display. No base entry required.

💡 Free and open to the public — no base entry or visitor pass required. Open daily 9 am–5 pm. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. Located just off I-25 Exit 156.

A 110-seat domed planetarium on the Academy campus offering free public shows with 8K projection and immersive surround sound, covering titles such as Oasis in Space, Fighter Pilot, Black Holes, and Apollo 11. Reopened in 2019 after a major renovation.

💡 All public shows are free, first-come, first-seated — arrive early. Adults 18+ without a DoD ID must obtain a visitor pass in advance for base entry. GPS directions on campus can be unreliable; use the Academy's base map. Check the official USAFA planetarium page for current show schedules as they change frequently.

A National Natural Landmark where towering red sandstone formations rise against Pikes Peak, with free hiking trails, rock climbing, and a visitor center featuring interactive geology and ecology exhibits including a dinosaur fossil.

💡 The park is open 5 am–10 pm (summer); the Visitor & Nature Center is open 9 am–6 pm. Arrive early on weekends — the main lot holds fewer than 200 cars. A free shuttle connects the overflow lot, visitor center, and main formations.

The only museum in the country dedicated to professional rodeo, featuring inductee plaques, saddle and gear collections, historic film footage, and live animal exhibits just off I-25 near the Academy.

💡 Adults $12, seniors $11, military/veterans $10, kids 6–12 $7, under 5 free. Open daily 9 am–5 pm in summer (last admission 4:30 pm). The large bronze Casey Tibbs statue marks the correct entrance parking lot.
