Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium has been home to the Wyoming Cowboys since opening on September 16, 1950. The stadium holds 29,811 and sits at 7,220 feet elevation, making it the highest FBS stadium in the country. The field was renamed Jonah Field in 2005 to honor the Martin and McMurry families, who developed the Jonah Field natural gas property in western Wyoming. The current playing surface is FieldTurf.
