📖About Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium

War Memorial Stadium is the highest FBS stadium at 7,222 feet elevation. "The War" opened in 1950 to honor WWII veterans and has seen Wyoming win 70% of games played there.

Origins

Opened September 16, 1950 as memorial to WWI and WWII veterans. First game: 61-13 win over Montana State before 5,500 fans.
