Colorado Rockies
Coors Field is the open-air home of the Colorado Rockies, located in Denver's Lower Downtown (LoDo) at 2001 Blake Street. Designed by HOK Sport (now Populous) and opened April 26, 1995, it seats 50,144 on Kentucky bluegrass. Purple seats in the 20th row of the upper deck mark the one-mile (5,280-foot) elevation. The stadium has hosted the 1998 and 2021 MLB All-Star Games, Games 3–4 of the 2007 World Series, and carries Coors Brewing Company naming rights in perpetuity under a 1991 agreement.
Built to replace Mile High Stadium with a dedicated baseball venue that could handle the massive crowds of the expansion Rockies.
The "Rooftop" is the place to be for a social, bar-like atmosphere. For the best mountain views, sit on the first-base side or in the upper levels behind home plate.
LoDo (Lower Downtown) has plenty of garages, but they fill fast. Use the RTD Light Rail to Union Station and walk the few blocks to the stadium.
Look for the "Purple Row" (Row 20 of the 300 level). Watch the fountains in center field after home runs and enjoy local craft beers from the "Blue Moon" brewery inside the park.
