Furman Paladins
Paladin Stadium opened in 1981 as the third home of Furman football, replacing the historic Sirrine Stadium. With 16,000 seats and the stunning backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains, it's one of the most scenic venues in the FCS. The 2013 addition of the Pearce-Horton Football Complex brought world-class facilities to this already impressive stadium.
Built in 1981 at a cost of $2 million to replace Sirrine Stadium, which served Furman football for 45 years. The university needed a larger, more modern facility to support its Division I-AA football program and accommodate growing attendance.
Lower bowl between the 30-yard lines offers best sightlines. Upper sections provide panoramic mountain views. The area near the knight/dame on horseback entrance is popular with families.
The Furman Fan Zone adjacent to Paladin Stadium opens 3 hours before kickoff. Parking available in campus lots off Poinsett Highway. Arrive early for big conference games.
The Paladins are led onto the field by a knight or dame on horseback - a beloved tradition. The Furman Fan Zone features live music through the Ingles Concert Series. Stay until halftime to see the equestrian pair greet visitors under the scoreboard. The Blue Ridge Mountain backdrop creates one of college football's most photogenic settings.
