The New Aloha Stadium Entertainment District (NASED) is a transformative project designed to replace the legendary but aging Aloha Stadium with a modern, 25,000-seat multi-purpose venue. It will serve as the permanent, state-of-the-art home for Hawaiʻi Rainbow Warrior football and a centerpiece for community events and entertainment.
Planned as a modern, right-sized successor to the original Aloha Stadium, which was closed to spectators in 2020 due to significant structural and maintenance issues. The new venue is part of a larger mixed-use development project.
The new stadium will feature a "U-shaped" design for better airflow and mountain views. Premium seating and hospitality decks are designed to provide an elevated gameday experience compared to the old venue.
The district is designed with multi-modal access in mind, including significant integration with the Honolulu Rail Transit system (HART) at the Halawa Station for a car-free arrival.
The vision for the new district includes a vibrant "Entertainment District" with shops and restaurants active year-round. Gamedays will recapture the iconic "Island Style" tailgating that defined the original stadium.
