Philadelphia Phillies
Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies, opened April 3, 2004, replacing Veterans Stadium. The open-air ballpark seats 42,901 on a Kentucky bluegrass surface. Designed by EwingCole and HOK Sport, its exterior features over 450,000 hand-laid bricks. Citizens Bank secured a 25-year, $95 million naming rights deal in 2003. The park hosted World Series games in 2008, 2009, and 2022, and is scheduled to host the 2026 MLB All-Star Game.
Built to replace the dual-purpose Veterans Stadium and provide the Phillies with a dedicated baseball-only venue with natural grass.
Diamond Club seats offer an unmatched view behind the plate. For a festive atmosphere, the "Ashburn Alley" outfield sections are where the action is.
The "Broad Street Line" subway is the most efficient way to get to the sports complex. If driving, use the official lots off Pattison Avenue.
Eat a Tony Luke's cheesesteak or The Schmitter. Visit the Phillies Wall of Fame in Ashburn Alley and watch for the Phantic's zany antics between innings.
