The city's original Rocky statue is displayed inside the museum as part of 'Rising Up: Rocky and the Making of Monuments' (April 25 – August 2, 2026). Admission is pay-what-you-wish on the first Sunday of each month and every Friday evening April 10 – September 4, 2026 ('Independent Fridays,' the museum's 150th-anniversary program). General admission is approximately $25 otherwise.

A massive, castle-like 19th-century prison where Al Capone once served time, now a haunting and fascinating historic site with a narrated audio tour through crumbling cellblocks and thought-provoking exhibits on criminal justice.

America's first zoo, spread across 42 acres in the Fairmount Park district, home to approximately 1,700 animals including big cats, gorillas, giraffes, and — opening June 4, 2026 — the brand-new Carey Bear Country habitat featuring Andean and sloth bears.
