Samford Bulldogs
Pete Hanna Stadium (formerly Seibert Stadium) has been home to Samford football since 1958, shortly after the university's relocation to Homewood, Alabama. The stadium has undergone continuous upgrades over six decades, including the 1989 Bashinsky Press Tower, the 2009 Cooney Family Field House, and a $65 million renovation currently underway that will transform the north end zone with new connecting walkways.
The stadium was built in 1958, shortly after Samford relocated to its current Homewood campus. It replaced the previous football facilities and provided the new campus with a dedicated football venue. Originally a modest facility, it has grown alongside the university.
The Bashinsky Press Tower side (west) offers the best views and facilities. East-side stands are closer to the field. The new north end zone renovations will add premium seating options.
Campus lots accessible from Lakeshore Drive. Homewood's proximity to Birmingham means additional parking in nearby neighborhoods. Arrive 2-3 hours early for SoCon games.
The Georgian-Colonial architecture of the Bashinsky Press Tower gives the stadium a distinctive Southern character. Homewood's walkable downtown area has numerous dining options within two miles of campus. The ongoing north end zone renovation will enhance the gameday experience beginning in 2024-25.
