
Jacksonville State
Burgess–Snow Field at AmFirst Stadium has served as the home of Jacksonville State football since opening in 1947. The open-air stadium holds 22,500 and plays on AstroTurf RootZone 3D Series installed in 2024. A seven-story Stadium Tower, completed in 2010, houses premium seating and press facilities on its upper floors and a residence hall on its lower floors. A five-year naming rights deal with AmFirst took effect in July 2024.
Opened in 1947 as Paul Snow Memorial Stadium. Has been expanded multiple times through the program's climb from Division II (national titles in 1985, 1992) to FCS (4 national championship appearances) to FBS.
West side press box seats offer best views. East side is more general admission. End zone sections added for FBS transition.
Campus parking available. Jacksonville is small town—traffic minimal. Use the shuttle from Pete Mathews Coliseum for free parking.
Gamecocks have passionate fan base from FCS success. Red and white color scheme. Marching Southerners band is well-regarded. Program is FBS newcomer—building traditions.
