About PenAir Field

PenAir Field is the on-campus home of University of West Florida football in Pensacola. The field opened in 2016, expanded to 4,000 seats in 2022, and received a custom AstroTurf surface in 2023. UWF begins NCAA Division I FCS competition in the United Athletic Conference in 2026 while Darrell Gooden Stadium is built around the existing field for a planned fall 2027 opening.

Origins

UWF unveiled the field in 2016 as the football program's on-campus home and primary practice facility. Pen Air Credit Union's gift established the PenAir Field name later that year.
