M.M. Roberts Stadium, known as "The Rock," opened in 1932 and seats 36,000 Golden Eagle fans in Hattiesburg. Named for 1930s university president M.M. Roberts, it earned its nickname from the concrete construction that made it one of the South's first all-concrete stadiums.
Opened October 1, 1932 as Faulkner Field with 2,500 wooden bleacher seats. The rock-solid concrete construction later gave it the "Rock" nickname. M.M. Roberts name added 1976.
West side press box side offers best views. Student section on east brings energy. Upper rows of west side have sunset views.
Campus parking available. Hattiesburg is easy to navigate. Hardy Street nearby has restaurants and bars.
