Joe Aillet Stadium has been home to Louisiana Tech Bulldogs football in Ruston, Louisiana since opening September 28, 1968. Originally called Louisiana Tech Stadium, it was renamed in 1972 to honor Joe Aillet β€” head football coach from 1940 to 1966 (151–86–8) and longtime athletic director, who died December 28, 1971. The stadium holds 28,562 and features FieldTurf (installed 2006). Its first game saw quarterback Terry Bradshaw lead the Bulldogs to a 35–7 win over East Carolina.
