Grambling State Tigers
Eddie G. Robinson Memorial Stadium is a 19,600-seat shrine to college football's third-winningest coach of all time. Opened in 1983 and renovated in 2017, the stadium honors the legendary coach who won 408 games over 57 years and sent 200+ players to professional football.
The stadium was built in 1983 to provide modern facilities for the Tigers and honor Coach Eddie Robinson, who transformed Grambling State into a football powerhouse during an era when Black players were excluded from southern college programs.
Mid-field seating provides the best views of the Tigers' offense. The stadium atmosphere honors Coach Robinson's legacy with displays celebrating his 18 SWAC Championships and 9 Black College National Championships.
Campus parking is available near the stadium. Arrive early for the annual Grambling-Southern rivalry and homecoming.
Four players coached by Robinson are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame: Buck Buchanan, Charlie Joiner, Willie Brown, and Willie Davis. The World Famed Tiger Marching Band brings energy to every home game.
