📖About Malone Stadium

Malone Stadium is the on-campus home of the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks football program in Monroe, Louisiana. Opened September 16, 1978, with an original capacity of 20,000, the stadium has grown to 27,617 seats through several expansions. It is named after James L. Malone, who led the program as head coach for 20 seasons. The playing surface is FieldTurf, installed in 2014. The all-time attendance record of 31,175 was set on September 21, 2012, against Baylor.

Opened September 16, 1978 with a 20-14 win over Nicholls State. Built to replace Brown Stadium as the program moved up in classification. Named for ULM president George T. Walker Malone.
