Nippert Stadium holds 40,000 and is the oldest stadium in college football still in use on its original site (opened 1915). Named for Jimmy Nippert, who died from a football injury in 1923, it sits in the heart of campus with the iconic view of the University of Cincinnati's clock tower.
Opened November 4, 1915 as Carson Field. Renamed Nippert Stadium in 1924 after James Gamble's grandson donated $285,000 for expansion in memory of Jimmy Nippert.
