L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium holds 60,545 and is Louisville's on-campus football home. Opened September 5, 1998 as Papa John's Cardinal Stadium, it was renamed Cardinal Stadium in 2018 after the Schnatter controversy, then became L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium on January 30, 2023 via a 20-year, $41.3M naming rights deal. The stadium features the iconic Howard Schnellenberger statue and is known for its intense atmosphere on game days.
