📖About Roy Kidd Stadium

Roy Kidd Stadium opened in 1969 as Hanger Field and was renamed in 1990 to honor legendary coach Roy Kidd, who won 314 games and two NCAA Division I-AA Championships (1979, 1982) during his tenure. The 20,000-seat facility is unique in that it was originally built as an "academic-athletic showplace" combining classroom space with a stadium. Major expansions in 2017 added over 3,000 seats and modern amenities.
