Sacred Heart Pioneers
Campus Field is a 4,000-seat multi-purpose stadium in Fairfield, Connecticut, serving as home to Sacred Heart University's football, lacrosse, and track & field teams. Opening in 1997, the facility features bleacher seating along both sidelines, a modern Daktronics LED videoboard installed in 2016, and sits between the William H. Pitt Center and Bobby Valentine Center on campus.
Campus Field opened in 1997 to provide a home venue for Sacred Heart's athletics programs as the school transitioned to Division II. The Pioneers football program was established in 1991, initially playing at Division III level before moving to Division II in 1993 and ultimately elevating to Division I FCS in 1999.
With bleacher seating along both sidelines and a capacity of only 4,000, Campus Field offers an intimate atmosphere where most seats provide good views. The home side between the 30-yard lines offers the best sightlines for following the action.
Free parking is available in North Lot, Notre Dame Fairfield campus parking garage, and other campus lots on game day. Limited ADA accessible parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. For premium parking, Tailgate Village passes ($625 per season) confirm a space next to the field with 20 bracelets per game.
Sacred Heart's football tradition dates to 1991, with the program achieving Division I FCS status in 1999. The 2001 team's perfect 11-0 season and first conference championship remains a program highlight. Campus Field sits centrally on campus between two major athletic facilities.
