Carolina Panthers
Bank of America Stadium is the open-air home of the Carolina Panthers (NFL) in Charlotte, NC. Opened in 1996 as Ericsson Stadium, it seats 75,037 and plays on FieldTurf Vertex CORE with CoolPlay (installed 2021). Bank of America acquired naming rights in 2004. Designed by Populous and Wagner Murray Architects at a cost of $248 million, the stadium features six bronze panther sculptures at its main entrances and also serves as home to Charlotte FC (MLS).
Originally built as Ericsson Stadium to bring NFL football to the Carolinas via Permanent Seat Licenses (PSLs).
Seats on the west (home) side of the stadium provide the most shade. Upper-level corners offer stunning views of the Uptown Charlotte skyline.
Park near a LYNX Blue Line station and take the light rail to Stonewall Station. If you drive, look for lots on Mint Street for tailgating.
Participate in the "Keep Pounding" drum ceremony before kickoff. Sample local Carolina barbecue from the concessions.
