📖About Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium

Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium (formerly BB&T Field and Truist Field) holds 31,500 and is the smallest ACC stadium. Named for Winston-Salem-based Allegacy since 2021, it's an intimate venue where fans are close to the action. The Demon Deacons have produced NFL stars like Tim Duncan (basketball, but still!), Chris Paul, and now QB Sam Hartman.

Origins

Opened September 6, 1968 as Groves Stadium with a 28-14 loss to North Carolina. Built for $2 million after Wake Forest moved from the old campus in Wake Forest, NC to Winston-Salem.

McCreary Tower Club has premium hospitality. Sections 7-11 offer midfield views. Intimate venue means no bad seats. Student section is sections 20-25.

Parking Tips

Lots on Deacon Boulevard open 5 hours early. BB&T Ballpark lots available (short walk). Street parking on Polo Road. Shuttle from Hanes Mall.

Game Day

Demon Deacon mascot rides motorcycle around track. Pro Humanitate Plaza tailgating area. "Go Deacs Go!" chant. Small stadium means loud atmosphere. Post-game, hit Fourth Street in downtown Winston-Salem. Clear bag policy enforced.
